ACT4CHANGE

Act4Change (BELGIUM)

ACT4CHANGEAct4Change is a Belgian NGO that empowers youth for sustainable development. Young pioneers get a chance to meet each other, develop their skills and build a network.
Act4Change was founded in 2011 by a group of engaged youngsters. They organized the first ‘Masterclass’: a weekend on sustainability with inspiring keynote speakers, discussions among experts and participants, and a chance for the latter to develop their own ideas.

Four years later, Act4Change has become a leading organisation in Flanders in connecting young people with a passion for change. The Masterclasses have become a popular concept, with hundreds of participants over the course of the different editions. Likewise, during ‘Cross-section for Future Generations’ weekends more than ten organisations related to youth and sustainability gathered to connect with and cross-fertilize each other. ‘Coffee with the Future’ are encounters in an informal setting that offers a small group the experience of an intimate talk with an influential thinker.

Currently, Act4Change is growing fast. With the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) coming up, we are looking forward to a busy and exciting year. On 4 April 2015 we organise ‘You(th) for SDGs’, where youngsters interested in the SDGs will gather for a day packed with high profile speakers, exchange and interaction. This event is the first of a series of activities about the upcoming goals and the role of young people in shaping our future world.
